jeremyk: Chicago style

I am a foodie (yes, I’ve been told that’s passe terminology, but what better way to describe why I moved 1,500 miles to New Orleans for college, or why Thanksgiving is the only holiday I come home for).
In Chicago, I tried the deep dish at Pizzeria Due and the traditional Chicago dog (pictured left) at Luke’s. The deep dish was the best I’ve ever had, but still just not a huge fan of that food item. The hot dog is another story.
Topped with hot peppers, onions, sliced tomatoes, celery relish, mustard and a huge slice of pickle, the Chicago dog is a mouthful. It’s also a do not miss. I’ve never had that combination of ingredients on a grilled dog, and it works wonders.
Found at Luke’s Italian Beef.
